Introduction to Homeopathic Philosophy, First Aid and Acute Prescribing About the Course: This 15 hour course is designed to serve as an introduction to Classical Homeopathic concepts and practice and will focus on acute prescribing only. The student will gain a working knowledge of at least 30 classical homeopathic remedies which may be used to self treat and to treat family members suffering from acute ailments such as bruises, scrapes, aches and pains, burns, sprains, common cold and flu, allergies, poison ivy, sunburn, nausea and other digestive complaints, headaches, colic and other pediatric problems, insect bites, bladder infections, earaches, sore throats and much more.
Homeopathic remedies are completely safe with no unwanted side effects and they are non-addictive. They are safe for babies, children, pregnant women and elderly people.
This course is not intended as a substitute for care by an appropriate health care provider, but rather as an adjunct when it is not possible to receive that care immediately.
Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the course. Cost of this course is $150 and includes a notebook of study materials, materia medica and handouts. Optional remedy kit containing 48 remedies will be available at an additional modest cost. Class will be held at the Alternative Medicine Family Care Center once a week for 5 consecutive weeks.
