Dr.Jeremy E. Reidy

Dear Patients:

It is all too often that the doctor gets all the information about the patient, and the patient gets very little information about the doctor and his, or her practice. I would like to change that and share my information with you.

My name is Jeremy Reidy, and I was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on October 1 st, 2007. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the Florida Institute of Technology in May of 2000. In August of 2007, I graduated from the Southwest Acupuncture College (SWAC), which is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am a board certified Acupuncturist by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Although I am not married and have no children, I have been blessed with three wonderful rescue dogs, who fill my days with joy and happiness. Growing up in the Home of Little League Baseball ( Williamsport, PA), I have been playing since the age of five and began teaching pitching mechanics to the next generation as a freshman at F.I.T. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer and Sport Yoga Instructor. In my free time I enjoy reading, meditation, weight-training and promoting the advancement of youth pitching mechanics through my instructional DVDs, which have been sold all over the world since 2004.

I was originally inspired to become a Doctor of Oriental Medicine because of my mother’s migraine headaches. For the longest time, she had been plagued with headaches, which resulted in trips to the Emergency Room. After learning that the next form of treatment her physicians suggested was Anti-Seizure medications, which had been clinically shown to reduce pain in migraine headaches, I knew I needed to look for an alternative form of care. My quest in finding something to help my mother led me to Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. After reading articles and journals on the benefits of Oriental Medicine, I knew this was path I wanted to follow not only for my mother, but for myself as well. I enrolled in my program less than six months later.

I have chosen to dedicate my life to the healing arts because I enjoy nothing more than seeing positive changes in people and giving them back the lives they once had, or the lives they have always wanted to live but have not been able to. The path I have chosen is to help those suffering and in need to become well, and to help them become ready and willing to help themselves. I am eternally grateful that I have devoted my life to this medicine, because I see continually see and feel the miracles of the life force each and every day of my life. It brings me joy seeing people rid themselves of limitations, which have kept them from doing, being and having all that they have always wanted. Mental, emotional, and physical balance is my goal for each and every one of my patients!

I whole-heartedly believe in the ancient principles that govern Traditional Chinese Medicine, which posit the powers that made the body can also heal the body. All disease is a manifestation of blockage within the body. This stagnation is caused by, and can also cause mental, emotional and physical symptoms.

I believe with all my heart in how I practice Alternative Medicine, and always strive to improve the gifts that God has given me. I believe I give an excellent service for a fair fee. I truly want to help people. I want you to refer and continue to refer patients to me because the more people who experience holistic healthcare, the healthier our world will become.

The sole purpose of this clinic is to help as many people as possible in their quest for optimum health, and to educate them about the benefits of Oriental Medicine, so they may in turn, educate others. This wonderful comprehensive form of medicine is safe and effective for everyone including pregnant women, infants, and elderly people, without the use of drugs or surgery.

What makes this practice unique is the synthesis of many different branches of Oriental Medicine, which includes Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and Classical Chinese Herbs, Nutrition counseling from an Eastern perspective, as well as Lifestyle Counseling. I also practice Japanese Meridian Therapy, which uses fewer points and focuses on various palpation techniques to arrive at a differential diagnosis. Other treatment protocols include Acupoint Injection Therapy, Natural Allergy Elimination Technique, Auricular Therapy, Neuro-Emotional Technique and Classical Five Element Acupuncture. I have also served two full-term internships in a Nationally Recognized Stroke Rehabilitation Hospital, as well as an Alzheimer’s Care Facility where I treated well over 1000 patients.

I look forward to a lifelong relationship with you and congratulate you for choosing this office for your health care needs.

Jeremy E. Reidy, DOM, AP
